Snowmass Village, CO

January 12, 2008

At a ski-in, ski-out access point found at the edge of a high road in the resort town of Snowmass Village, Colorado, the artist began a hike to reach the topmost ski lift on Snowmass Mountain. The hike began at 10:30 a.m., at an elevation of about 9,700 ft. and followed several ski runs towards The Cirque, elevation 12,510 ft. In his pack, he carried five scrolls, some food and water, and a snowboard, which was used to ride down the mountain upon reaching the summit. The hike took approximately four and a half hours, ending just before 3:00 p.m.
