This 30-mile hike took place during a residency at the Ucross Foundation in Wyoming. The artist had spent the first week working on drawings and putting together books, one of which was custom-fit for the main compartment of the backpack he would take on the hike. Along with this book of drawings, he brought only enough food supplies and water to last the distance. The trip began at 6 a.m., followed US Highway 14 to the town of Sheridan, and ended in the early afternoon.
